Message from the Principal
NUMBER ONE TAX & ACCOUNTINGYoo Tae-yeol · Korean CPA & Tax Accountant
Welcome.
I am Yoo Tae-yeol, principal of NUMBER ONE TAX & ACCOUNTING and a Korean CPA and tax accountant.
Even when two companies earn the same revenue,
their tax burdens can differ considerably.
The difference is not simply a matter of how a return is filed. It also depends on
your business structure and the decisions you make at key moments.
At NUMBER ONE TAX & ACCOUNTING, we do more than calculate tax after the year-end close.
My work draws on studies in business administration at Seoul National University
and over 30 years of experience as a Korean CPA and tax accountant. Together, we review
profit, cash flow and financial structure to understand
what drives your results and which decisions best support your future.
If you are planning to sell, pass on or gift property or other assets,
we go beyond calculating the tax to
compare your options and recommend an approach that fits your circumstances.
Before a problem arises,
we aim to be the first people you turn to when an important decision needs to be made.
That is our commitment at NUMBER ONE TAX & ACCOUNTING.
Accurate work.
Clear explanations.
Advice with your future in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions
Review these points to help us understand your needs.
We obtain the required recent returns, books, financial statements and payroll records from your current adviser. We explain the document checklist and Hometax authorisation process, and check outstanding work and filings in progress.
Yes, but near a deadline we first check filing progress and document readiness. We confirm the current adviser's work scope before recommending a transfer date to avoid missed tasks.
It generally includes monthly bookkeeping, sales and purchase records, supporting documents, VAT and withholding returns, payroll tax matters, key date reminders and basic advice. Income and corporate tax adjustments, social insurance guidance and specialist consulting may cost extra depending on the contract. The scope is explained before signing.
Your business registration certificate, recent returns and financial statements, current tax service agreement, revenue and employee count help us advise you accurately. Bring tax office notices or contracts requiring review if available. Basic consultation is possible without documents.
It is best to consult around business registration. Organising business accounts, cards, records, payroll and filing dates early helps reduce missing information and confusion later. We recommend a start date after reviewing your industry and when revenue begins.
No. You can review the services, process and estimated fees before deciding. Where paid specialist advice is needed, we explain the fee and scope before the consultation.
